Nav has over a decade of experience in real estate as an attorney, broker, and investor. Nav lectures at UC Berkeley Law School and the Haas School of Business, is a frequent contributor to Forbes, and is often featured on CNBC, Bloomberg and Fox Business. He holds a JD from UC Berkeley Law School where he was class Valedictorian.
Arash has over 20 years of risk management experience. He started his career at Fannie Mae and was primarily responsible for developing Fannie’s multi-family guaranty fee models. He then moved to RFC/GMAC/Ally where he held various risk management roles. Prior to joining RealtyShares, Arash was Head of Risk Policy and Controls at CitiMortgage. Arash holds an SB in electrical engineering from MIT and a PhD in economics from JHU.
Gene has a broad background in large-scale Web platforms, security, communications protocols, and building high-performance engineering teams. His previous technology leadership positions include Versal, Inadco, Check Point, and The Learning Company.
Lawrence has over 15 years experience as a corporate attorney and has also run a real estate construction business. He previously worked with Realty Mogul, AVE (acquired for over $4 billion), Shearman & Sterling in NYC, and Cooley in their Sand Hill Road office.

Javier has deep experience in real estate, finance, strategy and technology. Javier worked in management consulting at Accenture and DiamondCluster before working in investment banking at Barclays and as a VP of acquisitions at 643 Capital, an SF real estate PE firm. He holds a BSE and MBA from the University of Pennsylvania.
Kristina brings significant experience building brands and driving performance marketing results for large enterprise businesses like Amazon and early stage companies like Ticketfly, where she was previously head of marketing and named to Billboard’s list of '40 Under 40 Top Young Power Players.” She holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Bryan has over 20 years of experience underwriting, structuring, negotiating and closing institutional-quality commercial real estate transactions. He has been directly responsible for the acquisition and development of more than $4B in office, industrial, apartment and retail projects at Realty Mogul, BlackRock, RREEF/Deutsche Bank, Hines and Archon Financial.
Kelly has 13 years of experience in financial services, real estate and fintech. She has a wide depth of experience building high performing sales teams that deliver high volume results. She previously held leadership roles at QuickenLoans, United Wholesale Shore Mortgage, MyInsuranceExpert, RME360, and most recently was the VP of Sales and Operations at Movoto Real Estate.
Bill has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate syndication and hospitality industries, where he has been responsible for bridge loan originations and underwriting, and has helped raise large, multi-million dollar investment funds from institutional investors. His previous employments include Lehman Brothers, Radisson Hotels, Wyndham Hotels, Thorofare Capital and Partners Capital. Bill has a BA in business administration from the University of Southern California.
Mark has extensive experience in real estate financing, particularly in underwriting and transactions for residential real estate. Mark's previous experience includes Dwell Finance, 643 Capital, Ipreo, and Redwood Partners.
Amy Kirsch has over 10 years of financial services experience. Amy worked in wealth management for Merrill Lynch, Dearborn Partners, and JP Morgan’s Private Bank before working as Head of Investor Relations for PeerRealty, a Chicago real estate crowdfunding platform. She currently holds her Series 7, 63 and 66 licenses. Amy graduated with a BBA from the Ross School of Business.
Mark was the founder of an ecommerce platform, where he led acquisition marketing. His writing and thought leadership has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, SF Chronicle, The Guardian, and Reason Magazine. Mark has a BBA in finance from the University of Richmond Robins School of Business.
Brian has over 10 years of commercial real estate investment and finance experience. Prior to RealtyShares he was a Vice President at RealtyMogul leading commercial joint venture equity originations. He has also worked with NorthMarq Capital, Beal Bank, and Realty Capital Partners. Brian has a BA from the University of Southern California and an MBA in finance from Southern Methodist University.
Ken has over 15 years of real estate and investment management experience. Prior to joining RealtyShares, Ken held leadership roles in acquisition and asset management for 643 Capital Management and BUILD, a real estate joint venture funded by CalPERS. Ken holds a BA in political science from University of California at Berkeley and an MA in real estate development from Columbia University.
Vartika comes to RealtyShares with deep experience in finance, operations, strategy and technology. She led financial and capital markets operations for fintech startup Earnest, overseeing more than $1 billion in loan originations, and served in various banking roles at Scotiabank. Vartika is a CPA (Ontario) with a BComm in Management from Ryerson University.
Dan is responsible for building a best-in-class engineering organization for RealtyShares. His prior leadership experience includes Salesforce, Electronic Arts and the U.S. Army. No stranger to high stakes, he served two tours in Iraq, culminating as Battle Captain. Dan holds a BA in computer science from West Point and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon.
Chris is responsible for the asset management and special servicing of the RealtyShares portfolio of active debt and equity investments. Prior to joining RealtyShares he worked with Wells Fargo, leading the CMBS loan team, and Prudential, where he was the West Coast Portfolio Manager responsible for managing a $1.6 billion bridge loan portfolio. Chris has a BA in finance from the University of Baltimore.
Jacob brings over a decade of product development experience with a customer focused methodology to the RealtyShares technology team. He has developed new products and services at Salesforce, Audi of America, Gatorade, DirecTV and Volkswagen of America. He holds a BA degree in economics from University of Rochester.
Josh has more than a decade of experience in real estate capital markets and has been involved in the acquisition, disposition and structured finance of over $6 billion in real estate transactions. Josh has worked on capital markets assignments for some of the country’s largest and most active firms while acting as CEO of Acquire Real Estate and Vice President of Capital Markets at CBRE. Josh has a BA from Harvard University.
Gerry has over 30 years of software engineering experience as an entrepreneur, product leader and architect. He's delivered products across a number of industries, including healthcare, storage management and technology. As the CTO of Acquire Real Estate, he devised several industry leading innovations, including a secondary market and integrated SD-IRA investing, and raised the bar for the fintech industry. His expertise spans system architecture, product management, and user-interface and experience design.
John leads the finance team, helping to guide the business strategy and financial planning for the company. An experienced strategic finance professional, he previously worked at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, partnering with the loan origination and trading businesses. He holds a BS from Villanova University and an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.
Sujata has over 18 years of experience, leading mortgage originations, operations and servicing teams for both banks and growing fintech companies. She opened a sales call-center from the ground up for E-LOAN, an online lender, and managed high-performing cross-functional teams for OneWest Bank, a leading mortgage servicer. She holds an MBA from California State University.
Jay has over 30 years of real estate experience, focused on both debt and equity in commercial real estate, diversified investment operations, portfolio management and structured finance. Jay has completed approximately $800 million of development transactions and approximately $3.4 billion in financing, capital markets transactions and debt/equity placements.
Mike was most recently Vice President of Investor Services for Lending Club. During his 4+ year tenure he developed the investor sales, servicing, and operations teams at both Lending Club and its subsidiary LC Advisors. At his departure in June 2015, total assets invested between the two divisions was over $2.5B. Prior to Lending Club, Mike held various sales management roles at Fisher Investments.

Gerald W. Fogelson is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Fogelson Group of Companies. Mr. Fogelson has been actively involved in the real estate industry since 1955. He was inducted into the Chicago Real Estate Hall of Fame in 2003. He is the Co-Founder of the Chicago School of Real Estate at Roosevelt University with the first Endowed Chair for Real Estate in the State of Illinois in his name.
Keri is a former partner and chief credit officer at Third Point, joining the $15 billion hedge fund in 2009. During her time there, her focus was on distressed investment opportunities, particularly distressed financial securities and mortgage securities. Prior to coming to Third Point, Keri was an analyst at Eos Partners and D.B. Zwirn. She received a BS in operations research from Columbia University.
Darren is a partner of Fabbri Fund Management, LLC part of the Fabbri Group, a California agricultural private equity and farm management/acquisition group. From 2005 through 2016, he was a Managing Director at NY based Terrapin Asset Management, LLC, where he was member of the firm’s investment and operating committees. Previously he held senior positions at JP Morgan Asset Management, Prudential Investments and ING Barings.
Joe joined Apollo in 2017 and is the Senior Partner of Apollo’s real assets business. Prior to joining Apollo, he was the CEO of JP Morgan’s Global Real Assets Group where he led a team of 400 investment professionals and investments worth an excess of $60 billion. Prior to his career in finance, Mr. Azelby played linebacker in the National Football League for the Buffalo Bills. Joe has a B.A. in economics from Harvard College and a MBA in finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
Geoff Donaker manages Burst Capital, through which he invests in and advises tech start-ups. He is also a board member and former COO of Yelp, which he joined as 10th employee in 2005 and helped take public in 2012. Starting in the late 90s, Geoff worked on Web 1.0 companies including eBay, Excite and Voter.com. He is a Stanford graduate and began his career as a consultant with Oliver Wyman.
Over the past 30 years, John has led Menlo’s investments in more than 40 portfolio companies, primarily in the communications, storage, semiconductor, Internet and financial technology sectors, including companies such as Betterment, Soha Systems and others. John has been the lead investor in multiple venture capital funded companies that have had successful IPOs and achieved billion dollar valuations, including UUNET Technologies and Digital Insight.

John Buttrick was a partner at Davis Polk & Wardwell, managing the firm’s mergers and acquisitions group from 1994-2000. From 2000-2004, John was a partner at LiveWire, a private equity group that acquired and managed back-office software companies. Between 2004 and 2010, he was involved in a number of start-up ventures in the US and Europe as an investor, director and consultant. John is an alumni of Northwestern University and Villanova School of Law.
Niko Bonatsos is a Managing Director with General Catalyst Partners. Niko joined the firm 5+ years ago as a founding team member of the firm’s Palo Alto office. He has led or co-led the firm's investments in Kiwi, ClassDojo, Flightcar, Livongo Health, RealtyShares and Snapchat. Niko loves partnering with first-time founders with strong product instincts, who treat every decision as a learning moment.
Independent Board Member, Former CEO Cushman & Wakefield
Ed is the former CEO of Cushman & Wakefield, where he led the 16,000 person commercial real estate firm in 60 countries. Previously he worked at Goldman, Sachs, serving as global co-head of the Investment Management Division, as a member of the firm’s global management committee and previously as the firm’s chief administrative officer. He was elected a General Partner in 1998 and held multiple roles in both New York and London.
